Country Christmas Craft Store

A coupe of weeks ago I did my annual set up at The Country Christmas Store in Pelham. I have been a vendor since the beginning and I like it.  My display is a little lighter this year, just did not have enough time to replenish all the mixed media canvases. I focused on cards, thinking that was what was low, so there are a bunch of news ones out there.

Anyways, here are some photos of my set up on the 2nd floor

Here are some photos of just a few of the items I have out there this year.
I am working on more larger canvases as Sidney needs some for around the barn.

The Country Christmas Store is open Thursday through Sunday from now until Dec 19th and then daily from the 20th to the 22nd.

If you are in the area, I encourage you to visit. I have been known to buy some gifts for family while in bringing in new stock.

A couple of new cards

I have been busy making cards, well backgrounds. Having fun. Baseball also started so a lot of time is spent at the diamond. I will post photos later.

I just thought I would share a couple of cards here that I have done recently.  I will be starting on Holiday cards and canvases soon for the Country Christmas Craft store.

Thanks for looking.

Reminder. most of my cards are posted on my other blog..

Some Friendship cards

Oh wow I can't believe it has been 2 years since I posted on here. I should have shared baseball photos from last season and some of my mixed media pieces. This top one is for sale and just sitting on my desk at work.

This one went into an auction.

That being said, I just recently did a ton of cards. I did take a weekend course in March before another lockdown occurred and so a lot of inspiration came from that weekend.

I am also into the new trend of cards, slimline, but apparently I didn't take any photos before mailing them out. I have been mailing cards to friends to cheer them up, with us having not seen each other in person in months.
If you have someone you would like to send a hello card to a friend, please reach out. Most of my cards are $5 each and I sometimes have bundle prices.

If you would like to see my snarky cards, please visit www.maybecreative.blogspot.com

Thank you and stay safe.

Baseball

Sorry it has been so long since I posted again. If you are looking for my snarky cards (or any others) you can find them on my other blog Maybe Creative.

So baseball is in full swing for my daughter. She plays on the minor peewee All-Star team in our town. I have been taking a ton of photos of the team, at regular season games and tournaments.
I thought I would share some of these photos with you (all parents have agreed that I can post the photos to my blog and facebook group).   Now I have not taken the time to edit any of these photos, but I have been enjoying the summer and just taking the photos.

New job card

It was requested of a co-worker that I make a "congratulations on your new job" card. The person was starting with Canadian Border services.

I used Redonkulous digital stamp, some patterned paper from my scrap bin, Echo Park toybox patterned paper, wink of stella, chameleon pens and the sentiment I typed on the computer.

Focus on the Good

This is a piece I did for an art auction in Toronto that was for charity. I don't recall how much is sold for but it did sell. Longest piece I have done to date.

Steampunk owl

Welcome back, It has been awhile and  this month has just gotten away from me. We have been so busy all the time that I have barely been able to do anything crafty.

Every year I submit something to an United Way fundraiser Artfest in Toronto through my union. The first year it wasn't accepted and I almost didn't submit last year. At the last minute I did and the piece was accepted and then sold at the auction. This year I had an idea in my head for awhile so I went on a bigger canvas than I have ever done.  It was accepted, unfortunately it did not sell at the auction.

Anyways, my thought was a steampunk owl and I went ahead and had fun with it. I painted the background, added some texture paste, painted some more, added some gears, the owl and more texture. I really like how it turned out..

Before making Steampunk Owl I did another smaller piece. I started out making a prototype and then stopped. So I did a different mixed media canvas as well.
This is a photo I quickly snapped with my phone so it isn't very good.

Anyways, both of these will be available at the Country Christmas store in Fonthill. Live life is already there and Steampunk Owl will be there next weekend I hope.

I also have 5 custom cards to make for the a regular at the store so I will post those next weekend.
